• a 'persona' for each doll - details of personalities, family, religious and cultural backgrounds, likes, dislikes and stories;

Twenty-four assembly themes for use in whole-school or classroom assembly time. Each theme contains stories for early learners, carefully chosen to suit different categories. There are stories about 'Me'; 'Me and You' (starting a new class, friends helping each other); 'Others' (sharing, being quiet and listening); and 'Key Christian Festivals'.

This resource provides a framework for young children (3s to 5s) to encounter the beliefs and practices of six different religions by 'meeting' each child featured in the World Faiths Jigsaw and encountering something of what they think and do.

Questions, which are linked to children's own experience and which encourage speaking, listening and reflection, are 'peppered' throughout each of the six stories. each story is provided digitally on a CD-ROM for use with an electronic whiteboard, data projector or other such technology.

The 24-page practitioner book provides background information, practical ideas for developing discussion of the experiences and concepts addressed through the stories, and some photocopiable material for use with children.
